My Name’s Laura
I’m Laura Blomstedt Webb, and I love to cook. Although I’ve worked in high end restaurants and bakeries for over a decade, what I love most is the freedom of cooking in my own home.
It’s hard to say exactly when I decided food would be such a big part of my life, but I’m the kind of person who always knew deep down I couldn’t be sitting at a desk all day.
So, after college, I pretty much immediately jumped into the restaurant world. It’s crazy out there, and while I loved it, I soon found that a bakery was more my speed.
I spent over a decade as the baker for Davis Street Espresso and Candor Bread in Oak Cliff, where food, family, and friends became inseparable.
After having two kids, I now spend less time baking for the public and more time cooking for my family. But I didn’t want to stop sharing food with my neighbors. So, instead of selling you food, I started teaching you food. That’s Instedt.
